About Christine

“The wind of heaven is that which blows
between a horse’s ears”
-Arabian Proverb
Christine has over 20 years of experience with horses and has been teaching and training professionally for 14 years. Although her passion is Eventing, Christine also trains and shows horses in pure Dressage, Hunters, and Jumpers. Over the years Christine has even dabbled in cattle penning/sorting, barrel racing, pole bending, western pleasure, breed shows, pleasure riding, off the track Thoroughbred (OTTB) retraining, and just about everything in between. Because Christine is a firm believer that you should never stop learning, she continues to develop her skills through continuing education and lessons/clinic with top dressage and eventing instructors such as Francesca Nicoletti, Ron Postleb, Stewart Pittman, Buck Davidson, Lainey Ashker, Dorothy Crowell, David O’Brien, and many others.

A graduate of the United States Pony Club with a traditional C3 rating, Christine focuses on a “ground-up” approach to training for clients and horses. A “ground-up” approach promotes a healthy, lasting relationship between the person and the horse. When we understand how horses interact with each other, and how we interact with the horse from the ground, Christine believes we can then create a strong partnership in the saddle. Christine helps each client (whether human or equine) grow and thrive by understanding his/her individual needs and creating a positive learning environment. As a lover of horses, Christine knows it does not matter if the tack is English or Western; in fact, it doesn’t matter if there is any tack at all. All that matters is that horse and client are participating in an activity which will allow them to learn and develop.

As Christine’s relationships with horses and clients grew, so did her understanding of individual and universal energy circuits. She could sense energy shifts happening during each interaction she had and witnessed, so she chose to pursue certification in Energy Healing to help better serve her clients. She spent several years studying different energy healing modalities, trained under multiple teachers, and put energy healing into her business practice with her own twist. Christine is currently a level III certified Reiki/Spiritual Healer and Animal Communicator.

Whether the client has the goal of simply enjoying horses, wants to compete at the upper levels, or would like to explore energy healing or animal communication, Christine honestly assesses each situation and is able to help each client reach his/her full potential. Christine enjoys fostering positive relationships in the horse community, and she is excited to help clients strengthen their connection with horses. What the Professionals Say

I have known Christine Longnecker for many, many years. Several years ago she started a young Andalusian for me. Not only was he beautifully trained, but the whole process was professional and very classically done. I have also witnessed her teaching many different students over the years and she is well organized, classically correct, and always has the best interest of the horse and rider as well as providing a fun, inspiring lesson.

Christine has ridden with me on many occasions and is a delight to teach. As an instructor it is so appreciated when a student shares your passion and love for the horses and the sport! She would take all the information I shared with her and always improved ten-fold when I saw her the next time. She has a talent for bringing out the best in many different types of horses and helping them realize their potential. It is my privilege to give her a glowing recommendation; she exemplifies horsemanship, and above all, she is a truly wonderful, kind young lady!
